Dragons, Thrones and Forbidden Bonds: Fantasy Candy Shorts

Escape the everyday with a different set of rules

This is the category for viewers who want a world with different rules: a royal bedchamber, an elven realm, a vampire who toys with men or a memory-smuggling job where the memories belong to other people.

The nine series here mix medieval courts, myth and sci-fi with the same short vertical format as the rest of Candy, roughly 1 to 3 minutes per episode. Every character is an adult, and the tone is sensual and suspenseful rather than graphic. Most run 5 episodes, so even an epic premise wraps up fast.

Fantasy Candy Shorts to start with

• Sworn to the Queen: a bodyguard job with a death sentence attached, as the queen picks the lowest-born guard and keeps testing him.
• Dragon Queen's Dark Desire: you are hired to heal a dragon queen who can't transform, and mystical creatures unite to help her.
• Vampire's Lust: a vampire who plays with men, feeds and discards them meets a stranger who is the one thing she wants and won't let herself take.
• Trespasser of the Sunken Court: a mortal thief breaks into an elven princess's realm, and she keeps him instead of killing him.
• NightWire: a memory smuggler lives a stranger's most intimate night in a single dive, and he knows a name she has never told anyone.
